I see where you're coming from. I think we both have solid points, no worries Eastwood

This is not a race issue. This is simply an issue of redesigning education so that everyone has somewhat of a chance. Is there racism in this country? Sure there is. Is racism to blame for our wage gap? Not necessarily. It is no secret that our current system is quite flawed. But to blame our situation on "white privilege" is flawed. I agree some employers might chose based on race or sex, but that is a small few. Instead of pointing fingers and demand a change in minimum wage. When you raise minimum wage, employers in higher paying jobs are forced to raise theirs, in order to keep their employees happy. When wages in general go up, so does inflation. This idea is not different from saying "lets just print more money." When you put more money into circulation, prices naturally rise. Instead, education needs a huge reform so that everyone has the ability to learn highly desired skills, such as engineering or computer science.

Also increasing minimum wage would create greater unemployment. This is misleading, while there is a minor correlation it is not particularly significant, here is a long term graph of the minimum wage in the US overlayed is the unemployment statistics.
