I agree with Andrew about how the rich wouldn't be hurt so badly by taxing them in order to give money to others, but therein lies a problem with Capitalism. Those rich people will most likely claim that they got there through their own wits and strength. They wouldn't want to give up their money to others who they feel didn't do anything to earn it. But then again, those people didn't ask to be born into the bad economic situation they are in. This is just like the cycle of poverty, where the rich don't feel like giving up money, and the poor can't get any. I think taxing the rich is a good idea, but we need to somehow snap out of the old Capitalism idea that it's all up to you, or nothing at all.

When increasing wages two things could happen, the employees are paid better but more often companies have less incentive to grow and offer more jobs. To make up the money they have to pay their employees they fire some workers and makes others work harder. I like the idea but I am not sure this is correct way to fix it.
